How it works

Connect once, then ask in plain language.

Yigri runs a remote MCP server. Your AI app connects through OAuth, and you approve it in Yigri. After that, the app can read your training data. It can't change anything.

  1. 01

    Add Yigri

Add the server URL in your AI app, or find Yigri in its app directory.

  2. 02

    Approve in Yigri

Sign in to Yigri and review what the app can read. Each app gets its own connection.

  3. 03

    Ask about your running

Ask "Am I getting fitter?" or "How was this week?" and the app picks which Yigri tools to call.

The tools

Eight tools, all read-only.

Each tool returns data you already see in Yigri, such as Run Pulse, trends, key findings and your Weekly Readout. Results come back as structured data with units, date ranges and a last-updated time.

Accountread-only

Account ID

get_profile

A stable account ID so the app knows it's you. It doesn't include your email, name or sign-in details.

Accountread-only

Training at a glance

get_runner_summary

Connected sources, your latest 20 runs and setup guidance if anything is missing.

Runsread-only

Recent runs

get_recent_runs

Up to 50 runs per page across any window of up to 90 days, filterable by run type.

Runsread-only

Run analysis

get_run_analysis

The stored Run Pulse and weather context for a single run you own.

Trendsread-only

Fitness trends

get_fitness_trends

Your recent four weeks against a 4, 8 or 12-week baseline, with exact windows and counts.

Trendsread-only

Key findings

get_key_findings

Up to 10 findings on pacing, fitness and weather, each with its own comparison dates.

Weeklyread-only

Plan vs. done

get_weekly_execution

Planned workouts next to completed runs for any Monday-to-Sunday week.

Weeklyread-only

Weekly Readout

get_weekly_readout

The readout Yigri already wrote. If this week's isn't ready, the tool returns the most recent one and labels its dates.

Speed

A typical tool call takes about 2.6 seconds.

Yigri computes Run Pulse, trends and findings when a run syncs. The MCP server reads those stored results, so nothing is recomputed when your AI app asks.

What runners ask

Questions runners ask, with example answers.

Your AI app writes the answer. Yigri supplies the data behind it.

You ask

"I feel flat today. Based on my last 10 days, should I still do the tempo?"

get_recent_runsget_weekly_executionget_key_findings

Your AI app's answer, from Yigri data

You've run 5 of the last 6 days, including two quality sessions. Sunday's long run was 9% slower than usual at a similar heart rate. That's a reasonable case for swapping today's tempo with Thursday's easy run. The data doesn't show how you slept, so factor that in too.

The answer uses your last 10 days of runs.

Privacy

You decide what each AI app can read.

Yigri shares only what you approve and only data from sources it can verify. When something is missing, the answer says so.

01

You approve every connection

Each AI app asks for access separately and shows what it can read. No app is connected by default.

02

Read-only, always

It can't save a plan, sync your watch, change your account or generate new analysis. All eight tools declare readOnlyHint.

03

Verified sources only

Yigri shares data only from supported sources: Garmin and COROS through Stridee, and Apple Health. If Yigri can't verify where a record came from, it leaves the record out and says so.

04

Revoke access anytime

Turn off any AI connection in Yigri. Future reads stop immediately.

Setup

Add Yigri to your AI app.

You'll need a Yigri account with Garmin or COROS (through Stridee) or Apple Health connected.

  1. 1

    Find Yigri in ChatGPT

Search for Yigri in ChatGPT's apps and choose Connect.
  2. 2

    Sign in and review access

Sign in to your Yigri account. Before you approve, you'll see which app is asking and what it can read.
  3. 3

    Ask about your training

Start a new chat and try "Show my five most recent runs and the stored analysis of the latest one."

Good first questions

  • "Show my five most recent runs and the stored analysis of the latest one."
  • "How has my running fitness changed? Include the dates being compared."
  • "Summarize this week's completed runs and explain anything missing from the Weekly Readout."

Before you connect

Common questions

What is MCP?

The Model Context Protocol is an open standard that lets AI apps call tools from other services. Yigri's MCP server gives your AI app eight read-only tools for your training data.

What do I need to connect?

A Yigri account with Garmin or COROS (through Stridee) or Apple Health connected. Then add Yigri to your AI app and approve the connection.

Which AI apps work with it?

We've tested it with ChatGPT and Codex. Other clients that support remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP with OAuth should also work, but we haven't tested them.

Can my AI app change my training data?

No. The connection is read-only. It can't save plans, start a sync, regenerate analysis or edit your account.

Why might some information be missing?

Yigri only shares data from sources it can verify. Accounts connected to Strava can't use the integration, and Strava history imported earlier stays excluded. When data is left out, the answer says so.

What happens when I revoke access?

Reads through that connection stop right away. Answers the AI app already saved stay there. Use that app's own settings to delete them.
