River Run Half Marathon

Berea, OH, US

Reviewed Sep 8, 2026Markdown version

What the course asks of you

River Run is a USATF-certified, point-to-point half marathon described by the organizer as smooth and slightly downhill. The 2026 event is the 27th annual running, with the start at Wallace Lake and the finish at Memorial Fields in Berea.

Pacing and aid stations

A slightly downhill profile can reward controlled pacing, but it does not make every mile equal. The organizer lists water and sports drink about every two miles. Use those stations in your plan, and compare pace with heart rate and perceived effort rather than chasing a flat split pattern.

Point-to-point logistics

The race starts at 8:00 a.m. Because the start and finish are in different places, review the organizer's parking and shuttle instructions before race morning. Gear check is available at the start, with bags transported to the finish area.
